Michael Stoker Nominated for FMCS Director

On January 18, 2018, the White House announced President Trump’s intent to nominate Michael Stoker of California, to be the Director of the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service. Mr. Stoker has been an attorney at law focusing on labor and agricultural issues for over 30 years. Mr. Stoker has served in many positions in State and local government. From 2000 to 2002, he served as California Deputy Secretary of State. From 1995 to 2000, he served as Chairman of the California Agricultural Labor Relations Board. Mr. Stoker also served as a member of the Santa Barbara County Board of Supervisors from 1986 to 1994. He graduated from the University of California Berkeley with a B.A. in 1976 and from Loyola Law School with a J.D. in 1980.
