During recent elections, SFLERP members elected Board officers and members-at-large. Scott Schwartz, Trial Attorney at the National Credit Union Administration, was elected President (management); May Silverstein, Assistant Counsel at NTEU, was elected First Vice-President (labor); and Arbitrator Michael Fischetti was elected Second Vice-President. As per SFLERP by-laws, the positions of officers rotate every two years among the member affiliations and this time the presidency moved to management.
Also Board members at-large were re-elected including Elizabeth McDargh, NFFE National Vice President from Long Beach, CA; Arbitrator/Mediator Sean Rogers from Leonardtown, MD, and Don Musacchio, formerly with USDA in Norfolk, VA.
We thank Mike Stein, Acting Director and Deputy Director of the Employee and Labor Relations Division at HUD, for volunteering to run for the Board. We extend our appreciation to FMCS Commissioner Rich Giacolone, who served as National President (neutral) and multiple other positions, for his service to the Society. He remains on the Board as an ex-officio member. Former President Arbitrator Abbot Kominers ends his cycle as ex-officio Board member with our thanks.
