SFLERP resumes its highly sought-after Labor & Employee Relations Primer Courses in September 2026, this year presented via ZOOM.  Attend the 2-day LR and 2-day ER from the comfort of your home or work office.

 

TOPIC: “Federal Labor Relations: A Primer”

SPEAKERS: Howard Friedman, former FSIP Member and President of NTEU Chapter 245/USPTO; Rich Giacolone, Arbitrator and former Director of FMCS; and Don Musacchio, Former Assistant Deputy Administrator for Management at USDA, FSIS.

9 am – 4 pm ET each day

 

REGISTRATION FEE: $275 for SFLERP members; $350 for non-members

 

This 2-day program will cover, among other topics, the Federal Service Labor-Management Relations Statute; terms and roles of third parties; bargaining units and exclusive representation; statutory rights of the parties; representation rights; formal discussions and investigations; grievances and arbitration; and unfair labor practices (ULPs).  It will also cover the current Executive Orders and court challenges that impact Federal Sector Labor Relations.

 

Register for both LR & ER programs and receive a discount: $500 for SFLERP Members and $650 for non-members.  To make your payment, call SFLERP directly at 757-537-0635, as the website does not offer that option.  During registration, select your member or non-member status to view the applicable tuition costs.  Payments made by training authorization, purchase order, or voucher will incur an additional $20 processing fee.  Non-members who join the Society during registration will qualify to attend at the member rate.
