SFLERP Resumes Its Highly Sought-After Labor & Employee Relations Primer Courses in September 2025, This Year Presented via Zoom. Attend the 2-day LR and 2 1/2-day ER from the comfort of your home or work office.
TOPIC: “Federal Employee Relations: A Primer”
Wednesday, September 10 – Friday, September 12, 2025
9 am to 4 pm ET on days 1 and 2 and 9 am to noon on day 3.
SPEAKERS: Barbara Haga, former SFLERP President and President, Federal HR Services, Inc., and Jeff Friday, former SFLERP President and NTEU representative and current General Counsel, NFFE.
This 2 and1/2-day program will cover topics such as annual and sick leave; leave without pay, FMLA, including Paid Parental Leave, AWOL, and administrative leave; dealing with attendance issues; disciplinary action, including due process requirements, Douglas factors, and penalties; and performance management processes, including appraisal procedures and performance-based actions. There will also be sessions on probationary and trial period requirements, RIF, and involuntary separations.
REGISTRATION FEE: $275 for SFLERP members; $350 for non-members for each course. When registering, select the member or non-member status, and the corresponding tuition costs will be displayed. Paying by training authorization, purchase order, or voucher incurs an additional $20 processing fee. Non-members who join the Society qualify to attend at the member rate.

Unfortunately, we cannot issue refunds after these deadlines. We will invoice any outstanding purchase orders or other forms.
