The Atlanta Regional Office of the FLRA Announces Upcoming In-Person Trainings in
Louisville, KY on September 1-2 & Nashville, TN on September 15-16

The Atlanta Regional Office of the FLRA’s Office of the General Counsel is pleased to
announce upcoming trainings being held in-person in Louisville, Kentucky (Romano Mazzoli
Federal Building) on September 1 and 2, 2026 and in Nashville, Tennessee (Estes Kefauver
Federal Building) on September 15 and 16, 2026.

FLRA Basics (The 1st day) covers the following topics: Overview of the FLRA,
Processing Representation Petitions, Processing Unfair Labor Practice Charges, Rights
and Obligations Under the Statute, Interference, Discrimination, and Official Time.

FLRA Advanced (The 2nd day) covers the following topics: Meetings (Weingarten
meetings, Formal Discussions, and Bypasses), Information, Collective Bargaining, and
Union Unfair Labor Practices.

Separate registrations are required for each class.  Both union and management representatives
are encouraged to attend.

“The FLRA places significant emphasis on training.  The more our parties understand their rights
and obligations under the Federal Service Labor-Management Relations Statute, the fewer
conflicts there are.  Tennessee and Kentucky have only recently become part of the area served
by FLRA’s Atlanta Regional Office and we look forward to meeting and getting to know our
parties there,” said Brent Hudspeth, Atlanta Regional Director.
