Mr. Ralph Smith will talk about the upcoming transition and what it will mean for Labor and Employee Relations in the Federal Sector.
Ralph R. Smith has been involved in the federal labor and employee relations program since 1973. He worked for several agencies in Washington, DC, including the FLRA and OPM. He was the LER Officer and Deputy Personnel Officer for NASA in Huntsville, AL, before founding FPMI. He worked closely with the Society of Federal Labor Relations Professionals when it was created.
Ralph was a founder of FPMI Communications—a “one-stop shop for federal personnel services.” The company grew from two people to several hundred before he sold the company to a public corporation.
He was also a founder of FedSmith.com and has worked continuously with this company since 2002.
During his career, Ralph has authored numerous books and newsletters on the federal labor relations program, ranging from general guidance for supervisors and union representatives to newsletters on labor and employee relations issues for practitioners.
He recently authored Federal Workforce Changes Likely in Second Trump Administration.
